Sam Altman’s announcement last week that paid ads were coming to ChatGPT was predictably met with derision from business model critics of AI and despair from everyone else who might have hoped that AI would somehow lead to a ad- free future. There were some though, who had some useful thoughts on what it might mean for recruiting, including this post from industry legend and brainfooder Bret Star, as well as some sensible thinking from brainfooder Nathan Perrott.
