Beautifully presented report from LinkedIn in hiring trends and labour market conditions. We all have had the direct experience of the main points here, but its validating to see it confirmed, and useful to identify areas of growth / decline. There’s no sugar coating it though - hiring has dropped by 20%-35% in advanced economies compared to 2019, and though AI is not considered a significant factor by LinkedIn in their analysis here, I suspect they are missing the suppressant effect on headcount of the promise that one day soon AI will be able to do it. Essential reading folks.
