No single business have a better understanding of the value of narrative formation than McKinsey. By coining the terms, they set the framework of the debate that follows and inevitably find themselves positioned as the leading advisor for the environments they helped shape. I guess this is what ‘thought leadership’ is though, and its not all bad, cos someone has got to do it. Here they are talking about future industries, now reformulated as ‘arenas’. Have a read.
