A common characteristic of the Burjarian ‘Live Player’ that they can be highly unusual personalities, often occupying their own moral universes. Before Elon Musk, there was Henry Ford - best known for the Model T Ford, which arguably created modern America, but also for the organisation of industrial labour which revolutionised mass production and the payment of high wages for workers such that they could become buyers of the cars they produced. He was also a raving bigot, an avowed anti-semite and an autocratic social engineer whose pamphlet Helpful Hints and Advice for Employes reads very differently once you have a more complete context. Fantastic essay on the man whose example is today a warning that should not trust our culture making to billionaires.
