Very interesting presentation on the impact on AI on the productivity of 100,000 software developers. AI can improve productivity, but it seems that it also make developers
less productive - mainly by the introduction of new work such as increase in bug fixing of code generated by AI. Future Work is going to have increase in error checking, training of AI, balancing dependencies. It’s all about complexity of work really - the less complex, the more effective AI is at doing it.
