This is one of those field studies which has a chance to become canonical. 70,000 applicants split into randomised groups interviewed by either Human and AI interviewer and then measured to see which ones pass through and then how many of those candidates went on to be offered the job. AI interviewers outperformed the humans, mainly because of the comprehensiveness of the information gathered compared to human interviewers who had greater variance. Important caveats include level of role (entry), role type (customer service agent), location / economic environment (Philippines). Evidence is mounting though, that interviewing will be next big domino to fall in the hiring process. You need to read this. H/T to brainfooder Guillaume Alexandre for the share.
