ASSESSMENT
Issue #464
1 Oct 2025
Another week, another significant study on the efficacy of AI in assessing job candidates. This week, it is Zara, an AI video interviewer, this time tasked with interviewing software engineers. Some key insights confirm the expected; there is far less variability in the interview transcripts which were conducted by Zara (compared to human recruiters) which strongly indicates a fairness of treatment to the candidates regardless of biography and time / place in hiring funnel. Human to human interviews won’t disappear but they are going to be reserved for second stage assessments, or for outbound, head hunted candidates. Thanks to brainfooder Sydney Levin of micro1 for sharing their research.
