First of two reports from two of the leading providers of frontier models, trying to answer the question, how are people using AI? Anthropic come out with an interactive website examining 1 million Claude conversations revealing some interesting trends, probably most pertinent being an increase in automation tasks, relative to information / research tasks. This tracks with increased confidence in users ‘delegating the work’ to AI, whilst also reflecting improvements in model capability. Credit to Anthropic for not shying away from the implications of this - job displacement is a logical mid point if not end point for this trend. Must read folks.
