The International Federation of Robotics produces an annual report which is paywalled at ¢2500 so we’re glad to have this breakdown from the Robot Report. As the US continues its chaotic, out-of-nowhere tariff policy - only last week announcing tariffs on household furniture (?!)- we need to prepare ourselves for Trumpian disappointment because certain jobs are not going to ‘come back’ because they have already been automated. China - the world’s largest manufacturer has gained market share, whilst employment in manufacturing as declinedover the same period, and it’s factory workers are now having to do it on the gig economy. What happens when Trump Tariff War 2.0 fails on it’s original purpose is anyone’s guess. As for recruiters, hiring for companies making robots is probably a good idea - anyone doing this?
