One understated reason why AI will replace jobs is executive demand. You don’t run a profit making business in a capitalist economic system without profit maximisation being your north star on how to operate. And the fact is, GAI can already outperform humans in many tasks, whilst doing ‘good enough’ on others to make a compelling case for managers to argue to bring this in.
