Daniel Zhao is one of a number of labour market economists who are doing an amazing job of disseminating their research to the wider public. His twitter is well worth a follow, especially when he covers the monthly JOLTS update. Strangely authoritative despite lo-fi data collection methods (calling people up by phone who does that), JOLTS basically operates as a barometer to the state of the US labour market.
