This is actually a remarkable statistic - for the first time ever, applications to Remote Job postings exceed 50% of the total number of applications on LinkedIn, despite making up only 20% of the total job ad volume. Lots of reasons why this is - lower cost-of-discovery for the applicant, lower cost-of-switching should the applicant take the job and ultimately lower risk to the applicant if the job turns out to be dud. On-premise cannot compete with full remote.
