PSA: There’s A Guy Named Soham Parekh (in India)

Soham Parekh took over the Internet this week, as he was exposed online as a serial ‘overworker’, simultaneously holding down several remote jobs as a Founding Engineer with VC backed SV tech startups. Exposed by one founder, lead to as many as 4 more publicly responding that, yes, they too had Soham on the payroll. Lots to think about here, including how tech assessment screens fail, the exposure to candidate fraud brought about by remote and how the claim that ‘we only care about the output’ proves to be bogus, as what happens when that output is a guy who subcontracts his work to other unknown, unvetted colleagues whilst pretending to do the work?
